b is for retaining your balance through all of those challenges in life
Be kind to yourself, you are not a magician and we all try to do our best.
Be happy with yourself if you have made the choices you felt were right. If you find out there are better choices, change what you choose to do.
I tend to be a person of action but, in trying to be helpful to my friends and family, I was giving away too much time and energy. It was making me very tired and low. So I made a choice. I decided to be available for advice but not to take on actions.
However I was too rigid with my choice. Two people who are my nearest and dearest needed more than advice. They needed me to engage with them and give some support through life changing activities. I did not do this which made all of us sad and they felt I did not fully love them. Seeing the impact of my choice, I changed it again.
Now I do sometimes accept actions but I am vigilant. I constantly monitor myself to check that I have the correct balance.
Do not be afraid to change your choice when the current one is not working. Remember to say ‘sorry’ when you get it wrong.
This post is dedicated to my nearest and dearest
