Don’t Believe the Multi-tasking Hype: Train Your Brain to Focus Better

Feeling life is tough at work to just get something completed?

In today’s world we are constantly distracted with emails, texts and instant messages. It is hard to maintain your focus and attention sufficiently to get something done. This impacts your productivity. What should you do about it?

Train your brain to maintain focus and attention and you will be able to get back into your task after an interruption much more quickly. Meditation re-trains the brain to maintain attention. The basic action in meditation is to focus on your breadth and whenever your mind wanders off, to bring it back to your breadth. Just 10 minutes a day can make an appreciable difference. read more

College of Psychic Studies – Summer Open Evening

On a hot summer’s evening in London, the College of Psychic Studies held their end of term Open Evening. After a term of hard work, it is an opportunity for consultants, tutors, college personnel past and present, students and potential students to enjoy an evening together. I look forward to these events and the chance to talk with a number of people. For people thinking about starting or extending their studies in psychic development, it is wonderful opportunity to meet like minded people. There is a good programme of demonstrations and sittings. So it is great for trying out different disciplines of psychic studies including tarot, palmistry, psychic mediumship, angel cards, healing….. read more

Life lessons: do you know what yours are?

Life lessons are not about owning big houses or flash cars but about our personal qualities and our ability to relate to others. They may include such lessons as learning to listen to others or defining and holding your boundaries. Our individual life lessons do not come to us neatly catalogued. We must endeavour to understand what they are so we can modify how we handle a challenge to gain a better probability of learning the lesson. Many of the challenges in our lives are not just bad luck but situations we have in a sense asked for to help us learn a lesson. read more

Soul Community picture: take a look at our first examples

I believe that soul families live in soul communities.  This is the first soul community picture that I painted.  It is about a metre square and took me months to create the framework, choose the colours and paint it.  Although I was slow, it gave me many hours of relaxation and calmness. Much more information about myself, my soul family and soul community came to me. My inner you and me had much fun.

At last Saturday’s workshop we created our first soul community pictures. I was really impressed with the speed at which the students tackled their task. I did wonder if they would get the same flow of information moving at such speed. They certainly did! We had some great discussions on what their pictures meant to them. read more

Spirit art: what is it?

When you have sat with a medium and they give you a message from a passed loved one, have you ever wondered if it is authentic?  Many people do and they are right to be cautious as there are charlatans who put themselves forward as a medium.

What better way to checkout your message than to ask the medium to draw a picture of who is bringing you the message. Of course the message could come from a loved one or even perhaps a guide.  Sometimes you may not recognise the person and you take the picture away wondering who the person is.  Time often tells you the answer. read more
