How are we coping with so many people dying of Covid-19?

Grieving for a loss or trying to support someone who has lost a loved one?

All of us experience grief at some point in our lives.  When we experience it for the first time it can come as quite a shock.  It is often not talked about so it is hard to know how to deal with it.

In the UK over 100,000 people have passed as a direct result of catching Covid-19. On average for each person who passes, 8 – 10 people feel the loss of them in their lives.

The population of the UK is approximately 68m people and up to 1m of them are currently grieving. Many of them are young adults who did not expect to loose a parent so soon. 1m people is nearly 1.5% of the population, so probably all of us know someone who has lost a loved one and is grieving. The UK is not the only country in this situation. read more

Covid-19: is it providing us with an opportunity to permanently change our lives?

Is Covid-19 creating a burning platform for change?

While it may not go away totally and we will have to learn to live with it, Covid-19 has forced us to change the way we are living and to consider what is important to us.

Loved ones are at the top of our prioritises – not unsurprisingly. Leading a simpler life has been a new experience for some and has made people question whether they need all of their ‘things’. Nature is valued more. Relationships and happy experiences enrich our lives. read more

Irene Gloux: spirit artist

Irene Gloux

Quite naturally when you sit with a medium and receive your messages, you might wonder;

Is this real?  Is this person really receiving information from my loved ones who have passed

A good medium will always try to describe your loved one so you can recognise who it is.  However what better way than to sketch the person who is standing next to you offering you love and support.

Irene Gloux, a talented artist and medium rapidly draws your loved one.  It’s truly amazing!  You get to take the picture home to remind you of your conversation with someone from your soul family. read more

Life is such a challenge: need some help?

Life and living standards have increased. You would think that this would make life easier, but I do not believe this is the case.

Life is very different from when I was young. With five adult children and many nieces and nephews, I see how the young run their lives.

Life is faster, more complicated plus there are greater physical distances between people as they travel or move for work.

I believe history will write up the 21st century as a revolution. The 19th and 20th centuries were an industrial revolution. The 21st century will be a technology and environmental revolution. Cleaner energy will become available, more effective health care and healthier life styles. read more

Tibetan Monks: create a sand mandala in London

Tibetan Monks UK Peace Tour

The purpose of the Lelung Dharma Trust’s Shide-Peace project is to promote peace throughout the world. In order to raise awareness of this mission, the Lelung Dharma Trust has brought a group of Tibetan monks from the Drepung Monastery in South India to the UK. While they are here they are performing a number of sacred activities. One of these is the creating of a sand mandala which I was privilege to witness in St. James’s church in Piccadilly, London.

Buddhism is of interest to me as it promotes a way of living for greater peace and happiness. It considers human behaviour and how we might individually improve our personal behaviour to make the world a better place. It is not about someone else doing something but each of us individually taking responsibility for our own behaviour and in so doing contribute to the whole. read more

Mind, Body, Soul: finding health, balance and wisdom

What a wonderful event the Mind, Body, Soul event in Alexandra Palace is this weekend. I spent a wonderful day on Friday with a couple of friends sampling the delights of the event. There are so many things to try and sample with lots of free lectures and experiences. I rate this event highly and it is very reasonably priced. So if you are looking for something to do this weekend give it a go.

The highlights for me were:

Irene Gloux on stand 165 – Spirit Artist

When a medium gives you a message from a passed loved one, have you ever wondered if it is authentic? What better way to check out your message than to ask the medium to draw a picture of who is bringing you this message. Irene, spirit artist and medium, does just this. Do visit her stand -165 and sample it for yourself. My friend had a wonderful reading and a great picture to take home with her. read more
