Hope is the thing with feathers
Hope is the thing with feathers That perches in the soul, And sings the tune without the words, And never stops at all, And sweetest in the gale is heard; And sore must be the storm That could abash the little bird That kept so many warm. I’ve heard it in the chillest land, And on the strangest sea; Yet, never, in extremity, It asked a crumb of me.
Emily Dickinson, 1830 – 1886
Hope is a powerful emotion….
The metaphor of hope is through a bird within us which continues to fly forwards. Hope of survival, a better life, finding love all bring us strength to keep moving forward.
It is said that in times of war or crisis those who retain hope have a greater probability of surviving. I believe that it is the emotion of hope which asks the universal for help. Universal love will respond giving you strength and capabilities to help you to survive. You just need to ask for it.
This post is dedicated to my friend who has hope and is finding belief her sister will be well.
