Lasting change happens one small step at a time.

What simple change might you choose to make so your life feels more fun or satisfying?

My life can feel very hectic, so I have promised myself I am going to attend a colleague’s mid-week meditation. It is 45 minutes of pure calmness. It is something I do for my soul and me. We love it.

What will your treat be?

Keep it simple. It doesn’t have to cost much either. Suggestions might be a lovely, long hot bath to relax in, a walk in the park alone enjoying observing and feeling nature around you, reading a good book, listening to music. The list can be quite extensive….

In some of the most read articles in this blog are some suggestions others have found useful. Some are for busy families; others are for individuals seeking to improve their lives by exploring new ways of living.

None of these small changes cost money.

You can change your life. It takes just a little thought on what you might do differently and then taking a small step at a time to make that change happen.

Do let me know what you choose and how it makes you feel.

Taking control of your life can feel liberating.

Send me an email at alison.wem@yoursoulfamily.com or add a comment and let me know what you have promised yourself. Just sending that email will strengthen your commitment to have fun and to own your happiness.

Life is for living and enjoying.

If you are too shy to email me, try writing yourself a letter. In it outline what small steps you intend to make which will improve the quality of your life.

Remember;

  1. Small changes made over time bring more benefits than big sweeping changes no-one can sustain.
  2. Be kind to yourself in the letter as if you were speaking to a loved one.
  3. Write the letter!

Put the letter in an envelope and address it to yourself. Put a stamp on it and give it to a trusted friend to post in one month.

When you read your letter in a month, ask yourself if you have kept your promises to yourself.

A promise given is for keeping.
