Finding January a challenging month? Or perhaps there is something else in your life which is spoiling your calmness and well-being, giving you worry and anxiety.

Each of us runs our own lives and we can seek out ways of improving our well-being. This is not about expensive classes or time consuming activities. Music and singing can be listened to, or joined in with, as we travel to work or do domestic tasks.

Deva Premal and Miten give us an overview of what is possible and how it helped them. read more

Are you enjoying your life?

I am a firm believer that;

Life is for living and enjoying

Yet it is not always easy to do this. Life can feel full of challenges.

No-one has everything.

Some people may appear to be wealthy and happy but if you follow them home, there may be challenges of fidelity, not being able to conceive a child, health problems and fear of loosing their wealth, position or power. In my experience everyone has at least one challenge in their life as we try to learn our life lessons.

How you respond to your challenges determines who you are and how you live your life. read more

What is in a smile?

Are you back into the pressure of the working week? It is amazing what a smile can do for you.

When I was growing up, my Mum always used to say to me;

Smile at the world and it will smile back at you.

Having moved to London, I have found few people smile at you in a city. My nieces, who grew up in the Scottish Highlands and now work in London, confirmed that they find the same. It is very unlike home where people smile and say ‘Good morning’. One of them said they were determined to keep smiling at people to see how many she could get to respond. How to Handle a Toxic Manager

Toxic managers can be challenging and also detrimental to your calmness and well-being. I know this from first hand experience. Irene Gloux: Spirit Art workshop

What a fantastic workshop Irene gave on using spirit art to understand who is trying to communicate with us and to receive some messages. No artistic skills were needed. However we all managed to draw portraits which looked life like and recognisable by ourselves or the person we were working with.

We did other exercises looking at ourselves from different perspectives, our energy over our lifetime, our aura and sunsets with messangers and messages. Everyone created beautiful pictures which were meaningful to themselves. read more

ABC of Love: n is for night

Sometimes we need to go into the dark to find the Light.

The Light is always with you but sometimes in the day time you cannot see it.

During our lives we will all experience a dark night. It may be through loosing someone or something we love or perhaps illness or financial worries.

Your Light can arrive in may forms. A few kind words of encouragement or perhaps a helping hand may arrive bringing you light in your darkest moments.

The greatest Light you can shine in your dark night is ‘self love’. It can bring encouragement, hope, self-assurance or just a knowing that you will get through your dark night and arrive in a lighter place. read more
