Meditation: 5 things to know about it
Meditation brings so many benefits on a physical, mental and spiritual level that there is every rationale to practise it. However we lead such busy lives it can really be hard to make the time for it.

Ancient wisdom for our modern world…
“Every one of us needs to become more spiritual”
Vladimir Jurowski, Principal Conductor, London Philharmonic Orchestra
An inspirational and impassioned Russian conductor, Vladimir Jurowski’s latest concert series “Belief and Beyond Belief” with the London Philharmonic Orchestra delivers brilliant music which touches the audiences’ emotions. In a recent interview with Ian Hewett, Jurowski said he believes;
“Music is so intangible; it is nothing but vibrations. It points to a realm of extience outside the body, yet it affects our emotions so powerfully. Nothing brings people together in collective meditation or prayer so well”
Sometimes life’s challenges feel overwhelming. Challenges are opportunities to learn life lessons. They are not meant to be so hard that they break you, but they are meant to be ‘challenging’. This is sometimes needed to get you to listen.
When you feel overwhelmed; step back, take a few deep breadths and re-assess the situation you find yourself in. Listening to the calm, rationale voice within you. It can be enlightening. You will be surprised at how objective and fair that voice is. However it can take some diligence to hear the voice over your anger, frustration or fear.
Finding your Soul Family through painting your Soul Map
We had a great day on the 27th November learning to create our soul maps. This was the first run through of this workshop but all worked well. The meditation was relaxing and enhanced our inspiration and creativity. The approach to exploring our life lessons were found to be thought provoking. Everyone found the painting enjoyable, calming and let the inner child express him/herself.
Meditation and reflection. Inner peace can be achieved by anyone through meditation and reflection. It need only take five minutes of your day. You can do it in any location – on a train, sat in a parked car before you go into the office, walking at lunch time. Good meditation re-vitalises you much like sleep does.
